Three kinds of pressure of centrifugal radial centrifugal fan.
Total pressure:
The total pressure of the ventilator was defined as the difference between the total pressure on the outlet section of the ventilator and the total pressure on the inlet section. The total pressure of the airflow at a certain point or section is equal to the sum of the dynamic pressure and the static pressure at that point or section.
Dynamic pressure:
The dynamic pressure of the ventilator is defined as the pressure characterized by the kinetic energy of the gas on the outlet section of the ventilator. Or: Dynamic pressure is the pressure required to accelerate a gas from zero velocity to a certain velocity. The dynamic pressure is proportional to the kinetic energy of the airflow.
The dynamic pressure only acts in the direction of the airflow and is always positive.
Pd = 0.5 x rho V2
Where Pd = dynamic pressure Pa
ρ = gas density kg/m3
V = speed m/s.
Static pressure:
The static pressure of the ventilator is defined as the total pressure of the ventilator minus the dynamic pressure of the ventilator. In fact, static pressure is the pressure difference between the absolute pressure at a certain point in the air flow or a certain point in the space filled with gas and the atmospheric pressure. The pressure at this point is positive when it is higher than the atmospheric pressure, and negative when it is lower than the atmospheric pressure.
The static pressure energy acts in all directions of the gas, independent of velocity, and is a measure of the potential energy in the gas.
Ps = Pt and Pd
Where Ps = static pressure Pa
Pt = Pa at full pressure
Pd = dynamic pressure Pa
