First of all, we can take a look at the advantages of FRP material:
1, the first advantage of FRP material is the high quality of strength comparison of light, to know the relative density of FRP, in fact, only 1.5~2.0, if the FRP and carbon steel are compared, the density is only about 1/4 of carbon steel, but the tensile strength of FRP itself is close to carbon steel. It is precisely because of this excellent performance of FRP, so in our daily life, we can see the figure of this material.
2, the second advantage of FRP material is the corrosion resistance is particularly good, this material actually for the general concentration of acid or alkali and many kinds of oil substances, have a very good resistance. At present, FRP material is also slowly replacing some stainless steel materials and non-ferrous metal materials. Because of the good corrosion resistance of this material, we can also use FRP in some chemical anti-corrosion projects.
